Job overview

We are a specialist college supporting young people with mental health and SEND, and part of the wider Inclusion Hampshire umbrella.

Inclusion Hampshire was the first organisation in Hampshire to be awarded Gold as a Carnegie Centre of Excellence for Mental Health in Schools in 2020 and this recognition embodies our commitment to supporting young people with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), also ensuring the wellbeing of our staff and healthy work life balance.

Inclusion College creates a small, nurturing learning environment that emphasises progression towards adult life and employment, personal development, and supporting them to develop sustainable strategies to manage their mental health and wellbeing independently in the future.

We are looking for people to join our dedicated team of teachers, support staff, therapeutic and pastoral staff to support the delivery of our curriculum.

Expression, life skills, enrichment, and creative arts are vital to our mental health and well-being and we want to encourage our students to find their voice, grow in confidence and increase their self-worth through engaging and exploring these skills and activities.

Roles will involve working with our students, teaching or assisting their learning in small groups or on a 1:1 basis. You will also have the scope to work in creative ways such as through art, sports, music, drama or dance to help develop their skills and learning.

Aside from our amazing students, the thing that makes us truly unique at Inclusion is the wonderful team of staff we have supporting our young people. Staff mental health and well-being is truly at the forefront of everything that we do. Every member of our team is valued and supported - and we know with certainty that we are only able to deliver a supportive and nurturing environment for our students if staff mental health and well-being is prioritised and ensured.

So, if you’re a creative, compassionate and supportive person, wanting to make a difference to the lives of young people then this could be the ideal role for you.
