In Suffolk, we are building a team that can deliver services for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities that are among the best and most innovative in England.

Our new management team is passionate about transforming the experiences of Suffolk children, young people and their families. We are working closely with our family representatives and our partners in health and social care, and twelve months on from our disappointing SEND inspection, things are already markedly better. We still have a great deal to achieve, and if you share our values and ambitions we would love you to join our team.

You will need to have the highest standards, be able to deliver change quickly and be willing to give your all.

In return, you will have the satisfaction of being part of a strong and vibrant service that makes a real difference for children and young people every day.
As the Inclusion Consultant, you will lead on improving inclusive practice for children with SEND and other additional needs in mainstream and specialist education settings across Suffolk.

You will develop our system for monitoring inclusive practice across all education providers and lead the work to support and challenge where necessary to develop best practice. This will involve analysing the evidence and liaising with key professionals and stakeholders to ensure good practice is celebrated and shared while matters of concern are raised and addressed.
Your background will be primarily in education and the role will provide you with the opportunity to work in partnership with the full range of education settings, professionals from across Children and Young People's Services and the Regional Schools Commissioner's Team to make a real difference to the quality of education opportunities for children and young people with SEND and additional needs across Suffolk.
