Harrow College is a highly successful Further Education College with an excellent reputation for providing a wide range of support for students.  We are seeking an experienced and pro-active individual to manage Additional Learning Support across the College.  Reporting to the Head of School for Foundation, Learning Support and Art, you will be the dedicated SENCo for Harrow College and will ensure successful outcomes for SEND learners through the management of a team of learning support staff.  You would also ensure the Code of Practice requirements are met, with particular focus on the EHCP and High Needs requirements, and be responsible for budget management and compliance with local authority timelines.


You must possess a degree or equivalent, a teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector (PGCE/DET or equivalent) and have qualified SENCo status.  You will have extensive knowledge of funding for additional learning support and of key curriculum developments in FE, experience of managing and coordinating the delivery of additional learning support at cross college level and experience as a SENCo/ALS Manager within an educational environment.  You should also have good leadership skills with experience of managing or supervising a team in Further Education or in a similar setting.
