The Governing Body at Foxdell Primary School would like to appoint an ambitious and innovative full time Inclusion Manager to be a pivotal part of our teaching and learning team.  

About our school

Foxdell is a community-centred school which is currently rated as ‘good’. We are a new primary school, created in April 2022 by the merger of Foxdell Infants and Foxdell Junior schools. We are currently at an exciting stage of development where we are shaping the curriculum and assessment process to improve the learning experiences of our pupils. We are looking for candidates who have the knowledge, experience and drive to help move the school forwards in our journey.

The successful candidate will:

  • Assist the Headteacher in giving strategic direction to develop a positive and constructive partnership with parents and the local community
  • Be passionate about making a real difference to the lives of our children;
  • Be involved in the planning, monitoring, evaluation and development of the school curriculum through the School I mprovement Plan;
  • Assist the Headteacher in formulating the school aims and objectives and policies for their implementation – particularly those relating to Inclusive Practice;
  • Take ownership of their own development and support the development of others;
  • Communicate effectively with parents and other stakeholders
  • Support all staff in achieving the priorities and targets the school sets and monitor the progress towards meeting them
  • Contribute to the school’s organisation and overall strategy of the school
  •  Support the leadership team with the implementation and management of behaviour within the school
  • Give leadership to staff in organising and implementing an appropriate curriculum for the school particularly for pupils with special educational needs, specific linguistic and cultural needs and those who are gifted and talented
  • Implement a policy of pastoral care for all pupils, identifying families who require support/intervention work, devising action plans and making referrals.
  • Arrange SEN Reviews and lead Consultation Meetings, and provide for liaison and co-operation between the school and the LA.
  • As the Designated Teacher, have an overview of LAC and as Deputy DSL, ensure thorough and effective procedures are implemented throughout the school.
