This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced pastoral, behaviour or inclusion professional who is committed to improving outcomes for young people. You'll work closely with students, families and colleagues to promote engagement, attendance, positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing, ensuring students receive the support they need to thrive both academically and personally.

As a key member of the school team, you'll lead on inclusion strategies, coordinate targeted interventions and help ensure every student feels valued, supported and empowered to achieve their full potential.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead inclusion, pastoral and wellbeing strategies that support positive student outcomes.

  • Identify and remove barriers to learning through targeted interventions and support plans.

  • Monitor behaviour, attendance and wellbeing data to inform effective support.

  • Build positive relationships with students, providing guidance and support when challenges arise.

  • Work collaboratively with families, staff and external professionals to achieve the best outcomes for students.

  • Champion inclusive practices, positive behaviour and student engagement across the school.

  • Contribute to safeguarding and student welfare processes, ensuring students are safe, supported and ready to learn.

What you will bring

  • Experience working in an inclusion, pastoral, behaviour, safeguarding or student support role.

  • A strong understanding of the challenges that can impact learning, attendance, wellbeing and behaviour.

  • The ability to build positive relationships with students, families and colleagues from a range of backgrounds.

  • Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.

  • A calm, resilient and empathetic approach, with the confidence to manage challenging situations effectively.

  • Experience implementing interventions that improve student engagement, wellbeing and outcomes.

  • A proactive, solution-focused mindset and genuine passion for helping young people succeed.

  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
