The Role: Inclusion Support Officer

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Inclusion Support Officer to join our team at Moreton School. In this vital role, you will be responsible for delivering targeted interventions to support our vulnerable students, proactively managing behaviour, and ensuring our students receive the appropriate provision to thrive.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored interventions to support the academic, social, and emotional needs of our vulnerable students
  • Proactively manage student behaviour, working closely with teachers and parents to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with the wider inclusion team to identify and address the specific needs of individual students
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, helping them to develop essential life skills and overcome barriers to learning
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of the school's inclusion strategy, ensuring it meets the needs of our diverse student population

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience working with young people in an educational or community setting
  • Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students from disadvantaged backgrounds and the strategies to support them
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues

 

Desirable Qualities:

  • Passion for making a difference in the lives of young people
  • Creativity and problem-solving skills to develop innovative solutions
  • Resilience and the ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to learn

 

Salary: NJC Grade 5, Points 12 – 16 – Actual Salary £26,379 - £29,608

Hours: 37 hours a week

Weeks: Term Time Only plus 2 Weeks
