Dubai Heights Academy is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Learning Assistant to join our Inclusion Team to support children across the school and to deliver the ASDAN learning programme.
Successful candidates will work closely with the Inclusion team and the Head of Inclusion to inspire and motivate students to become independent, confident learners.
Roles of responsibility:
- To co-ordinate and plan the ASDAN provision in the school with the Head of Inclusion.
- To communicate with parents on a weekly basis via email and seesaw
- To document and record pupils’ learning and ASDAN projects
- To liaise with the local ASDAN team in the UAE to set up pupil projects for moderation
- To lead 1:1 and small group interventions with pupils with additional learning needs i.e. phonics, IEP targets, academic support
- To track pupil progress and collaborate in supporting pupil learner profiles and IEPs
- To be involved in IEP meetings with parents where necessary
- To be an active member of the Inclusion team and participate in weekly Inclusion Team Meetings
- To follow all school and authority policies and procedures
- To perform other related duties required

- Previous experience working with pupils of determination is desirable but not essential
