Broadlands Academy is an 11-16 learning community and proud to be part of Academies Enterprise Trust family of schools. We are a small, mixed, fully inclusive comprehensive school taking children from ages 11 to 16 and remain one of the best choices for learning in the area. We are currently looking for a teacher for our new Inclusion Unit which will open in September 2018. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to assist in shaping the direction of this provision which will accommodate up to 6 students across Key Stages 3-4 with SEMH needs.
This post provides an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is prepared to make a difference to the ongoing development of the whole child and may be of interest to an experienced teacher who is looking to develop their experience and expertise in SEND.
You will be an experienced teacher with strong classroom behaviour management experience along with a good record of supporting students’ attainment as well as good subject knowledge and the ability to utilise the resources provided to support students in returning to a mainstream setting.
- Hold QTS status and be eligible to work in the UK
- Be an experienced teacher
- Have good subject knowledge
- Have experience of managing students with high needs in SEMH
- Have strong communication skills
- Be flexible and open minded in their approach to student support
- Be able to work flexibly within a team and motivate students
- Utilise resources effectively
Training and Support:
You will be joining an experienced and passionate SEND team at Broadlands Academy. All SEND staff receive a personalised CPD programme at the start of the academic year.
