Vision for Education (the supply arm of TES) are looking to recruit passionate Instructor Tutors/Teachers in Huntingdon who are looking for a new challenge from September 2018, specialising or looking to specialise in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). If you’re passionate about education and genuinely wish to make a difference to the lives of children with SEND, then we want to hear from you today!

This position will involve working on a long-term supply basis (five days a week). Although if you are looking for more flexibility and wishing to work part-time, we still strongly advise you to apply for this position as this can be accommodated to. You will need flexible with your hours of work, but typically be available 8.15 – 3.30pm approximately for this position. 

The role will involve supporting the learning of children with SEND, including Autism (ASD), Challenging Behaviours associated with SEND, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Difficulties and Behavioural Difficulties associated with SEND. The successful candidate will cover lessons in SEND Schools and Provisions in Huntingdon and the surrounding Cambridgeshire areas. You will need to have strong educational knowledge and have an understanding of the curriculum (including GCSE Maths, English and Science). You will need to have the ability to manage a class, as well as work in small groups and on a 1:1 basis with children. 

You will need to have a nationally recognised teaching qualification in Primary/Secondary/Further Education for this role, which can include Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector) or CTLLS (Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector). However, we will still consider all applications from Unqualified Teachers who have experience teaching in a School or Education Provision.

You must be eligible to work in the UK and meet Vision for Education’s stringent Safeguarding and Vetting Checks for this position. We will also require you to hold a current Child Workforce DBS (Enhanced) and it be registered on the Online Update Service. If your DBS is not registered on the Online Update Service or your DBS is not under Child Workforce, Vision will assist you in completing an application.
