We are seeking to appoint an Instrumental Music Tutor- Voice Specialist at the following schools:

Siena Catholic College and Siena Catholic Primary School - up to 2 days of tuition each week for students ranging from year 2 to year 12

Stella Maris Catholic Primary School - up to 1 day of tuition each week for students ranging from year 2 to year 6

Ideally you will be:
- Qualified (with a degree in music and / or education) and / or have extensive teaching experience working in a school environment;
- Enthusiastic and have skills to inspire and nurture the musical talents of young motivated students;
- Skilled to teach in a variety of different musical styles including classical, contemporary and musical theatre;
- Able to demonstrate an ability to lead large school choirs of developing voices and smaller chamber choirs;
- Literate with technology, show initiative, be organised and accountable;
- Willing to connect, contribute and work as part of a team


Siena Catholic College is a contemporary secondary co-educational systemic school, administered by Brisbane Catholic Education on behalf of the Archdiocese of Brisbane.  Located at Sippy Downs on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, Siena has a simple but powerful ethos of PRAYER-CARE-LEARNING and aims to educate the whole person - intellectually, physically, socially and emotionally, with a strong sense on the fifth dimension, the spiritual.

Siena Catholic Primary School is located in Sippy Downs, in close proximity to the beaches of the Sunshine Coast. We are a co-educational primary school catering for approximate 630 students. Siena has a strong commitment to Christian faith, meeting the needs of each student and a supportive community. The school began in 2002 and has rapidly grown to its full capacity and is guided by the principles and teachings of St Catherine of Siena.

Stella Maris is a primary school of 840 students, located in a rainforest setting at Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast. To be successful in this role you will:

  • have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education;
  • currently hold or be eligible to hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card; and
  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.


Estimated Start Date:
  Commencing Jaunuary 2020

Position Tenure:   Fixed Term

Weeks Worked:  School term weeks only (holidays unpaid)

Tenure Duration (If Fixed Term):   2020 school year

Total Paid Hours (per wk) & Days Required:   Up to 2 days/wk

Salary Level, Range or Hourly Rate:   Remuneration to be negotiated

Employment Conditions:   Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement 2015-2019


This position involves working with children.  The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
