Job overview

This is a newly created position within the Finance department of this growing  school.

Working closely with the Bursar to redesign, redesign, build and implementation of processes ranging from implementation PO system, fee & aged debt process review, expense control reporting and annual budget and rolling forecast analysis.

You will have experience of working in finance department  and ideally process change and embedding within the department and wider organisation.   You will have strong Excel skills specifically in design, build, and use and knowledge of finance systems (preferably Access FocalPoint, HCSS). Also a  good understanding of finance department roles, processes as well as ability to use Excel (including build of spreadsheets to aid financial process & control).

This is an opportunity  to use your strong finance and software skills to coach and upskill the current team members in the use of Excel, and Finance systems.

We are looking for a finance professional to start as soon as possible for a minimum of two months with the potential of turning into a permanent role.

There is some flexibility in hours and location of work (potentially a mixture of home/school based).  In your application please note your preferred hours, location and days of working.   For reference, a full time working pattern  is Monday to Friday 8:30 to 4:30 with 30 minutes unpaid lunch break (37.5hours per week).
