Job overview

Due to an internal promotion, Maiden Erlegh Trust wishes to appoint an exceptional Head of School to Maiden Erlegh School in Reading.

This school is a young, vibrant and successful school and we are looking for someone to play a key role in the next phase of its development.

Opened in 2015, to meet the demand of local families who wanted a high quality Maiden Erlegh school, but adapted to this rich and thriving multi-cultural community, the school has grown year on year to fill its 900-capacity building and we are proud that we are oversubscribed and the school of choice for local families.

The successful candidate for our Interim Head of School position will work closely with the Executive Headteacher, colleagues in the school and the Trust, to push forward the school on its journey towards excellence in all aspects of school life and for all students.

They will be someone with relevant senior leadership experience who can demonstrate real and timely impact in their current or previous roles. This role would be ideal for someone who aspires to, and the potential for, substantive headship in the future. The Executive Headteacher will provide coaching and mentoring, and there will be opportunities for development within the Trust also.

If you would like to speak to us informally, or to arrange a visit prior to submitting your application, please contact us at recruitment@maidenerleghtrust.org

Closing date: 9am, 24 February 2020
