INTERIM TEACHER OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION  (required to cover maternity leave for an initial half term period, with a view to extending to December 2017)

The department is very successful with an enviable reputation both regionally and nationally in a wide variety of sports and has excellent academic results. This has been recognised by an outstanding departmental OFSTED inspection.  

The post requires a well-qualified and enthusiastic practitioner to teach girls Physical Education.   

As the number one co-educational state school in the Country for Sport, the extra-curricular programme is a large part of school life and the successful candidate would be expected to play a full and active part in this programme, to potentially include netball, swimming, badminton and indoor athletics.

The Coopers' Company and Coborn School in Upminster is a dynamic 11-18 co-educational school for 1,467 pupils.  Our roots date back to 1536.  While focusing clearly on academic achievement, we aim to provide a liberal education which recognises and develops the potential of every pupils, within a caring, supportive and friendly environment, thus helping our pupils in their preparation to become full and effective citizens.
