The WMG Academy Trust Board is seeking to appoint invigilators for the WMG Academy for Young Engineers, both in Solihull and at our Academy in Coventry.
ROLE:
Examination invigilators are an integral part of the exams team in every school, college and university. The invigilator is the person in the examination room responsible for conducting a particular examination session in the presence of the candidates. Invigilators have a key role in upholding the integrity of the external examination/assessment process.
Key duties:
● ensuring all candidates have an equal opportunity to demonstrate their abilities
● ensuring the security of the examination before, during and after the examination
● preventing possible candidate malpractice
● preventing possible administrative failures
● liaising with the examination officer and senior invigilator

WMG Academy for Young Engineers Solihull is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school with a sixth form in the West Midlands, serving students from the age of 14-18. The secondary school, situated in Solihull is a University Technical College (UTC), led by businesses and a university. Partners at WMG Academy for Young Engineers Solihull include The University of Warwick, WMG, National Grid, Rolls Royce and Jaguar Land Rover.
WMG Academy for Young Engineers Solihull opened in 2016. There is also another WMG Academy in Coventry, which opened in 2014. The Academy has purpose-built learning facilities, including dedicated engineering equipment and professional working spaces substituting classrooms.
