New College Pontefract is looking for an enthusiastic Apprentice IT Technician to join its Trust IT Team. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in IT support while working in a busy, supportive college environment.

You will help provide first-line technical support to staff and students, responding to Helpdesk queries, resetting passwords, supporting laptops, printers and classroom equipment, updating IT records and helping users resolve common hardware, software and connectivity issues. The role also includes logging support calls, checking IT rooms, supporting equipment maintenance and escalating more complex issues to senior colleagues where needed.

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in IT, good communication skills and a helpful, customer-focused approach. You should be organised, reliable, willing to learn and able to work well as part of a team. GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent, are required.
