Job overview

Following a restructure of the IT department in preparation for the delivery of a new service level agreement, we are seeking to appoint an IT Engineer or an IT Engineer Apprentice to support this busy department. 

The successful candidate will provide first line support, in particular roaming support, as directed by the Senior IT Engineer.  This role will provide the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge in a fast paced, highly customer serviced environment. 

About You

We are seeking an individual who has either completed personal IT projects and keeps themselves updated with advances in technology or someone who is passionate about technology and who is looking for a career in IT.  You should also:

  • Be interested and passionate about the end customer
  • Have good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be able to adapt to changing needs and demands of the school
  • Be a strong team player

Ideally you will have:

  • Experience in customer service
  • A willingness to work towards formal qualifications
  • Experience of IT in a highly customer focused environment
  • Up to date knowledge of IT standards and protocols

You will work 7 hours per day, between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm Monday to Friday, with 8.00am to 1.00pm on alternate Saturdays.
