About the Opportunity

Due to expansion, our supportive and collaborative ICT team are seeking a proactive ICT Engineer to join our friendly team, providing on-site and remote support to the schools in our Multi Academy Trust (MAT). This post allows the successful candidate to work with a vast range of cutting-edge hardware and software solutions and Cloud services.

This is an exciting opportunity, where you'll enjoy a varied workspace, visiting our multitude of school sites: 80% being across the Wiltshire hub from Melksham to Devizes and 20%, when required, at our schools based in the Reading hub to provide first class IT support. If you're an IT professional with broad technical and problem-solving ability, great communication skills, a proactive attitude and are someone that gets a real buzz out of going the extra mile for your clients, then this is the role for you. This opportunity is just as much about customer service as it is about technical knowhow, so if you enjoy communicating with people as much as working with tech, you'll fit right in!

About You

The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for customer service, be able to manage their time effectively and must be a self-starter, who is comfortable working alone as well as part of a team. They must be able to demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills, a flair for technology and a history of excellent client relations. We are looking for a natural problem solver with a good working knowledge of Windows Server and Desktop OS and Office 365, networking concepts and associated security hardware.

In a nutshell:

  • Provide meticulous, high quality and technical 2nd and some 3rd line IT support
  • Complete assigned projects
  • Provide technical support, forums and training to team members
  • Be proactive in promoting and developing WHFIT
