Job overview

Varied IT technical support role with scope for career development in this field based role across 4 schools. Contract Term time + 5 weeks.

If you enjoy solving problems in a calm, methodical way and engage easily with a variety of people, then you would be welcomed as part of our dedicated, central IT support team, who work in schools in Wallington and South Croydon.   Education provides an exciting, innovative, changing workplace and this new role is emerging with the natural expansion of this successful 4-school multi-academy (MAT) trust in South London.

What is important is a knowledgeable, keen interest in IT and a friendly, professional manner as you will be involved with the technical delivery for solving software and hardware issues for both staff and students. It is a varied role where you could be required to visit different schools on a daily basis.

Folio has a good reputation for career development and internal succession planning, so the role is open to those with some or no experience; any relevant qualifications will be advantageous and we offer training in any necessary aspects of IT and associated technologies. Any work experience preferably gained in an education or IT environment will be useful.

The MAT comprises an established, outstanding boys’ grammar with mixed sixth form, a primary school, a junior school and a brand new secondary phase, comprehensive free school, Coombe Wood School: the last opened in 2018 and for which the building of a state-of-the-art £35M building project is underway and scheduled for completion in 2020.

Initially this role will be mainly based at Wallington County Grammar School.
