The Role

The successful candidate will support the Learning Resource Centre in providing IT support, maintaining LRC system databases, and working to support learners in the use of our software to maximise learning across our campuses.

You will take a lead on promoting positive student behaviour, and promoting/educating our learners in the use of e-resources, online information sources, books and computer enquiries. You will provide professional and efficient face to face support to a wide range of students in helping to ensure that their understanding and access to all our learning and library facilities supports and benefits our students.

The Person

As an IT/Learning Facilitator you will have significant and extensive IT knowledge in implementing new technology, providing training for staff and students, Installation of software/upgrades and liaising with our IT technicians in troubleshooting soft/hardware faults

In addition you will be confident and experienced in using computerised systems including databases, possess strong communication, organisational and administrative skills.

The successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • extensive experience relevant to the role
  • Intermediate level of Microsoft office IT packages
  • Ability to deliver learning sessions and excellent presentation skills
  • ability to work under pressure and as part of a team
