We are seeking to appoint an experienced and highly motivated IT Services Technician to work as part of the IT Services Team. The IT Services Technician will engage in all activities related to the support and development of IT across the school.

We are well resourced and IT facilities are excellent throughout the school. Currently in IT we have four specialist IT suites and a number of subject IT clusters which support studies in the thirteen Curriculum Areas. A total of 450 Windows desktop computers, 60 iMacs, 25 exam laptops and over 1,200 mobile devices are linked to our network. 

Every student and member of staff has access to an iPad as part of our iPads for Learning scheme. The network is supported by 8 physical servers and 30 Hyper-V virtual servers with a mixture of Unifi & Netgear L2 and L3 managed switches. Printing is provided through 13 Follow-You multifunction devices, linked to a BioStore biometric identification for processing through the PaperCut print system. Every classroom has a SmartBoard and projector, though we are looking to gradually replace these with large interactive screens. 

A campus-wide Fortigate Wi-Fi network serves all indoor and outdoor areas through 106 access points. A 1Gb/s fibre link on a 1Gb/s carrier provides our internet connection.
