Role Purpose
We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused IT Site Engineer to join our IT team, providing expert 2nd line support and acting as the primary IT contact for a designated site. This is a hands-on role where you will take ownership of incidents, service requests and technical issues, ensuring colleagues receive an efficient, reliable and high-quality support service.
Working closely with Service Desk, Infrastructure and Applications teams, you will troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of hardware, software, network and cloud-based issues while helping to drive continuous service improvement across the organisation. You will also play a key role in maintaining site technology, supporting new system implementations and contributing to IT projects and technology rollouts.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing 2nd line support for hardware, software, network and infrastructure issues.
Acting as the main IT contact for your assigned site, building strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
Managing incidents and service requests through to resolution, escalating where required.
Supporting and mentoring 1st and 2nd line engineers as a senior point of escalation.
Administering user accounts, permissions and access across Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure AD and Google Workspace.
Supporting Windows server environments, cloud services and business applications.
Managing laptops, mobile devices and tablets, including Intune and Jamf administration.
Supporting networking equipment, connectivity, cloud telephony and multi-site infrastructure.
About You
We are looking for an experienced IT professional who combines strong technical expertise with excellent customer service skills. You will be confident troubleshooting complex issues, managing competing priorities and building positive relationships with users at all levels of the organisation.
You will have:
Experience in a 2nd or 3rd Line IT Support role, ideally within a Service Desk or Managed Service Provider environment.
Strong knowledge of Windows server environments and desktop operating systems.
Experience managing Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure AD and/or Google Workspace environments.
Knowledge of networking technologies, including LAN/WAN, Cisco Meraki and network troubleshooting.
Most importantly, you will be a proactive problem-solver with a strong attention to detail, a commitment to continuous improvement and a genuine passion for technology and customer service.
