Job Description

Job Title: IT Support & IT Asset administrator    

Reports to: ISL Group IT & Operations Officer 

Campus: ISL London (0.5FTE) ISL Surrey (0.5FTE)

Salary: £26-28,000 per annum depending on experience

Holiday entitlement: 20 per annum plus bank holidays

1. General

The IT  Support  &  IT  Asset  administrator  is  the  point of  contact for  IT  support  functions  and  management  as  well as 

coordinating and administering ICT assets in the school.  The IT Support & IT Asset administrator is responsible for ensuring the optimal distribution of the school hardware and all IT & AV related equipment as well as ensuring maintenance of network and server infrastructure. This job entails collaboration with external contractors, school teams to provide guidance, setup, readiness and support to staff and students.

  

2.  Accountability

· Coordinate, support and action the school’s IT 

support 

·  Maintain the school's end‐user IT systems in collaboration with the IT teams and other departments, to support teaching and learning and the effective running of the school 

· Develop, maintain and manage the schools IT 

assets inventory 

· Troubleshoot both Microsoft and Macintosh 

computers. 

· Support and maintain, BYOD and mobile 

technologies 

· Conduct preventive maintenance of the school 

end‐user ICT systems, network and servers

·  Actively collaborate between the schools teaching departments and IT teams as well as group officers to ensure a coherent approach towards development and maintenance. 

· Report back to management on a regular basis 

or as and when needed on arising matters 

·  Maintain booking calendars for all checkout resources, perform routine maintenance, conduct inventories, and catalogue new resources 

· Support leaders with budgeting and planning

· Purchasing and acquisition (hardware & software) 

· Backup server management

· Biometrics hardware & software management

· Phone system management

· Access control

· Active Directory Group Policy and support.

· Software and License management

3. Experience:

· Have experience in one to one customer 

service interaction and first line technical 

support 

· Have experience in working with Macintosh and Microsoft operating systems 

· Experience in stock management and asset 

distribution 

· Proven ability to communicate well with people 

who are not technically minded 

· Experienced working under pressure and the 

ability of multitasking 

· Possess Microsoft, iOS and/or Cisco 

certifications (preferred) 

· Proven experience with installing and maintaining network and server infrastructure

· Proven experience with Active Directory

· Proven experience working with advanced back-up solutions

4. Competencies:

·  Possess good communication skills and be willing to adapt to the demands of an international school 

· Be fluent in English (verbal and writing) 

· Be able to communicate, interact and work 

effectively with different individuals and teams

· Have strong interpersonal relations skills 

· Attention to detail and able to work under tight 

deadline 

· Be up to date with emerging technologies in IT 

· Be able to coordinate large volumes of asset 

distributed around the different campuses 

· Be flexible and able to attend to out of working 

hours emergency 

· Have working experience with asset 

management solutions 

·  Have working knowledge of Apple Mac within a   Client environment 

· Have working experience with network 

troubleshooting
