An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dual role providing ongoing maintenance of the computing and associated systems used by the College as part of the IT team, alongside developing and implementing eLearning throughout the College as part of the E-Learning Team. 

As an IT Support Engineer, the successful candidate will work with the larger team that provide IT and AV services to all College sites and will have previous experience in the IT industry and in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows based operating systems, Microsoft Office desktop applications, Office 365 and other popular software packages including Adobe Creative Suite.

As an E-Learning Assistant, the successful applicant will be required to support staff across College in the creation of a range of resources, e.g. study support materials, screencasts, instructional videos, as well as assisting in the migration of Moodle courses to SharePoint Sites, support the use of Digital Campus and eStream in teaching and learning. 

Applicants should have a pro-active, positive, flexible, and reliable approach to work and an enthusiasm for working in an education environment as part of a team as well as using their own initiative. The ideal candidate will have a good selection of the following skills and experience; excellent telephone manner and face to face communication skills, previous experience working in an IT support role, experience with PC hardware, setup, configuration and repair, experience with supporting Android, iOS and MDM systems; an understanding of current trends and developments within teaching and learning and the technical developments which support this. 

This role may require flexible working hours, as the working pattern may include evenings and weekend deployment. The role will predominantly be based at Callywith College in Bodmin.
