Bedminster Down attracts pupils from a large, increasing, number of partner primaries from across the south-west side of the city, with families resident from Highridge to Windmill Hill, as well as Bishopsworth, Headley Park and Bedminster. A measure of the school’s growing popularity is that we have had well over three hundred applications for 216 places in September 2017. Our last OFSTED inspection in 2014 found the school to be judged as good overall, with good findings for behaviour, leadership teaching and achievements. In 2016 the school received its highest ever GCSE results.

Lessons are supplemented by over twenty five extra-curricular activities. Our curriculum and pastoral systems ensure students skills and abilities are nurtured and foster excellent relationships with parents.
