We are seeking to appoint a successful IT Support Technician - reporting to Director of Systems assistant to join our IT team. They will be required to assist the IT manager with all required technical support with the college.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- To provide technical support to students and staff in regards to the college computing facilities.
- To support the MIS Manager in providing college staff and external bodies with information from the Management Information Systems, generally using Microsoft Access.
- This position consists of both technical and administrative elements.
- Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide support to staff and students in the use of IT hardware and software
- Assist with the installation of new equipment
- Workstation deployment and imaging
- Assist in the management of the PC and Mac computer systems
- Ensuring the hardware and software inventories are always complete
- Documentation of systems and procedures
- Performing routine maintenance and servicing of equipment
- Liaise with suppliers in regards to warranty repairs
- Ordering consumables
- Maintaining the asset and inventory system
