If you're passionate about technology, problem-solving, and enhancing the learning experience for both staff and students, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

As an IT Systems Analyst, you'll be at the forefront of our technological advancements, ensuring the seamless operation of our IT infrastructure. Your duties will include:

  • Developing and managing EMA and Firefly VLE, taking a lead role in departmental support.

  • Acting as the Lead AV engineer for livestream solutions and venues.
  • Managing Cloud Platforms such as School Post, Google Admin, and Firefly.

To thrive in this position, you must demonstrate robust expertise in Windows/Mac desktops, Windows 10/11, and proficiency in AV configurations. Profound competence in mobile device support for iOS and Android, along with experience in LAN, Wi-Fi, Active Directory, and Azure, is essential. You will also possess the skills for configuring, installing, and troubleshooting network printers and scanners. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are imperative, enabling effective support and inspiration for both staff and students.

Working at Emanuel

Colleagues enjoy working at Emanuel and, like the pupils, are ambitious for the school, delivering a challenging curriculum and an exciting co-curricular programme.

There’s a strong sense of community and friendship amongst our staff. An open dialogue about the school’s aims and direction of travel is maintained with a weekly pre-school briefing, half-termly staff meetings, termly consultative group meetings and a dynamic common room committee.

Emanuel works hard to look after its employees, who all benefit from good pension provision and free lunches. Our appraisal scheme focuses on professional development and we sponsor postgraduate courses and a range of training opportunities. Staff wellbeing is extremely important to us: a healthcare plan via Simply Health that includes counselling and medical support is offered to all staff; staff yoga, football and mindfulness meditation are amongst the weekly activities colleagues can participate in.

“The school whole-heartedly fulfils its aims to inspire endeavour, confidence and ambition in its pupils.”

ISI Inspection Report April 2023

Welcome to Emanuel

We are a vibrant, fully co-educational school of over 1,100 pupils aged 10–18, supported by more than 200 dedicated teaching and support staff. Emanuel is a community driven by aspiration: our pupils, colleagues, and families share a commitment to excellence, personal growth, and lifelong learning.

This ambition is reflected in our record-breaking achievements. In 2025, 46% of GCSE grades were awarded the top grade 9, with 75% at 9–8 and 91% at 9–7 – the best results in the school’s history. At A Level, over 70% of grades were A*–A, with nearly a third awarded A*. Emanuel is now recognised as one of the leading fully co-educational schools in the country. The latest ISI Inspection report stated: “Pupils make excellent progress across the range of subjects and significant value is added to their academic outcomes.”

Our aspirations extend far beyond the classroom. We nurture talent in every field, with a deep commitment to sport, the arts, and STEM. We invest significantly in our facilities, including a £30 million STEM and Refectory building currently underway, which will provide state-of-the-art science labs, maths classrooms, and vibrant social spaces. Our creative arts provision has earned national recognition, including the Independent School of the Year for Performing Arts (2023), while our work in Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion won the Talk Education Award (2024).

Connection lies at the heart of Emanuel life. Our thriving partnerships programme creates meaningful links with the wider community, welcoming over 1,000 primary school children to our site each month to learn alongside our pupils. This work was recognised with the Independent School of the Year Award for Community Outreach (2021).

Empathy shapes our culture. Emanuel is a positive and welcoming environment where every individual is valued, supported, and encouraged to thrive. Our talented and dedicated colleagues share a belief in the power of kindness, collaboration, and personal fulfilment. Together, we ensure that staff and pupils alike enjoy a sense of belonging and shared achievement.

We wish you the very best of luck with your application.
