IT Technician Apprentice

Aylward Academy & 163 Eversholt Street, North London

37 hours a week, 52 weeks per year

Salary: £19,425.00

Start Date: As soon as possible

AET is one of the largest academy trusts in the country, with a network of primary, secondary and special schools spanning nearly every region in the country.

This is a hugely exciting time to be joining the organisation, and as we pivot from turnaround mode to becoming a high performance organisation on the pathway to sustainable excellence.

We are building our in-house IT capacity, making sure that our schools have all the support they need to deliver an excellent education for every child, every day.

In these new roles you will assist in the day-to-day technical IT Support for the collection of schools in North London. You will work alongside other members of the IT Team and where necessary third party partners/parties to support the delivery of IT to staff and students.

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and experience by working as an Academies Enterprise Trust (AET) Apprentice. Apprenticeships give you the opportunity and support to develop new work-placed skills in an organisation committed to your professional success.

  • Do you have a passion for IT?
  • Are you looking to build a career in IT?
  • Do you have experience working as part of a team (this could be in a sporting, educational, work or social setting)?

If the answer is yes, we would love to hear from you.

We offer:

  • More training and development, so you can get better at what you do.
  • More support for you and your loved ones - a health cash plan, lifestyle savings discounts, employee loans and savings scheme, and employee assistance programme.
  • More technology so you can have more impact.

As an AET Apprentice you will fully commit to the 20% off-the-job training requirements of the post alongside your normal day-to-day job. You will complete the IT Solutions Technician apprenticeship standard (level 3).

This is a fixed term contract and is due to commence in as soon as possible 2023

Closing Date: Friday 9th June 2023

We reserve the right to close this vacancy early should we receive an overwhelming response.  All candidates are advised to refer to the job description and person specification before making an application.

In line with our safeguarding practices we are unable to accept CV’s. Apply today.

Academies Enterprise Trust and all of our academies are committed to ensuring the highest levels of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our pupils, and we expect all our staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We adopt a robust, fair and consistent recruitment process which is inline with Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance. This includes online checks for shortlisted candidates. All offers of employment are subject to an Enhanced DBS check, references, and where applicable, a prohibition from teaching check.

We are a Disability Confident Employer and there is a guaranteed interview scheme for candidates with disabilities who meet the minimum selection criteria.
