The Role:

As an IT Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our school’s IT infrastructure.

  • Technical Support: You will be the first point of contact for technical issues, assisting both pupils and staff with their IT needs. From troubleshooting hardware and software problems to maintaining our network, your expertise will keep our systems running seamlessly.

Qualifications and Skills:

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • GCSEs: A minimum of 5 A-C or 1-5 GCSE passes, including English and Mathematics.
  • Passion for IT: An eagerness to learn and a genuine interest in technology.

Darrick Wood School is a mainstream, co-educational, non-denominational secondary academy for 1700 children aged 11-18. It is situated in Orpington, Kent. In its most recent inspection by Ofsted (January 2019) the School was judged as “Good” in all areas.

The school was founded in 1975. In June 2004, it was awarded specialist status in technology. In 2010, Darrick Wood converted to academy status and a new Sixth-Form building was completed.

In 2015, the secondary school was awarded the World Class Schools quality mark.
