Salary: Scp 3, Actual Salary £18,562 (Pro rata for part time)

Holidays: Starting at 22 days plus bank holidays (Pro rata for part time)

South Hunsley School and Sixth Form College are seeking to appoint to the role of IT Technician to commence as soon as possible. Our IT Services Department are looking for a candidate with a friendly and can-do helpful attitude that puts the school users at the forefront of all they do.

Your duties will require you to provide support to all our users via our ticket system and travel around the school site in order to complete tickets where necessary, you will be supported by our experienced team with clear escalation routes, training, and regular feedback as part of your role.

Your role will include opportunities to troubleshoot and problem solve, therefore a solution-focused approach, and a background in troubleshooting will enable you to help support and resolve a wide range of issues from initial contact and request, through to completion.

You will cover all aspects of technologies from networking, servers to end-user devices, including hardware you will also use server technologies to provide IT Services such as DNS/IP/DHCP, Active Directory and much more!

Our technologies cover a range of systems from windows 10 desktop computers to windows server 2012R2 to 2019, Android, IOS and Chromebooks and a host of other systems both physical, virtual, and web-based systems.

Interviews are anticipated for w/c 31 May 2021 at South Hunsley School and Sixth Form College. The interview will consist of a formal interview with Matt Wadsworth, Director of IT, Paul Cuffe, IT Network Manager, Paul Parker, Deputy IT Manager and Carol Officer-Nash, HR Advisor as well as a practical task to test technical ability.
