Kettering Science Academy is looking to recruit a talented and enthusiastic IT Technician to help ensure excellent services are provided to our customers. Students are at the heart of everything we do and it is essential that the IT infrastructure and resources contribute to a positive learning experience at all times.    

You will be joining a small team that provides a full and varied range of network maintenance and support, technician services and audio & visual support for our Academy. In addition, the team provides IT services to Compass Primary Academy which is another Brooke Weston Trust school, located adjacent to KSA. It is expected that the successful candidate will act as the primary technician for IT services at Compass Primary school operating across both sites in line with our service level agreement. There may also be a requirement to support other schools across our Trust as necessary.  

It is a fast paced environment supporting over 150 colleagues and over 1000 students every day. We are proud to occupy a new state of the art building, with an IT infrastructure to match.  If you can deliver outstanding customer and IT services and want to develop your skills in an organisation that embraces technology, we would love to hear from you.  Particular responsibilities include:

  • To support the IT Support Service in the maintenance and development of the site.
  • To provide direct maintenance and support to all school staff and students, including PCs, iPads, Laptops, Smartboards and network systems. 
  • To provide advice and support via remote connectivity / telephone or face-to-face on the helpdesk or around the Academy.
