Contract type: Full Time, Term Time

Hours of work: 37 hours per week

8:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday – Thursday

8:00 am to 3:30 pm Friday

Contract term: Permanent

The Role

We are looking to appoint an IT Technician who wants to join an experienced, supportive, committed team of like-minded colleagues and make a real difference with our young people. The post involves providing 1st line of support across the school. The role is busy and varied and you will interact with various stakeholders from inside and outside the school.

The team is well-established and highly supportive of one another. We would love to show you round our school.

Training will be provided along with an induction to support your transition into the role. Strong personal qualities such as confidence, integrity and presence are sought in addition to good functional ICT skills. Consistent and effective communication are required together with the ability to use your own initiative.

The Ken Stimpson Community School is a mainstream, state-community, co-educational, non-denominational, secondary school for children aged 11-18. It is situated in Peterborough in Cambridgeshire and there are 1020 pupils on its roll.

As a single site school it has very good facilities, some of which are shared with the local district library and recreational centre. The school also benefits from a two-court floodlit Astroturf area and extensive playing fields.
