Job overview
We are currently seeking a permanent full time IT Technician based at the Taunton Academy.
The successful candidate will need to provide first class 1st and 2nd line IT support services to our community. This will involve directly supporting users in the operation of hardware, Microsoft based applications, Apple based applications, networking and other systems, as well as ensuring that systems meet legal requirements and are kept working and coordinating repairs with our suppliers.
Working within a highly skilled team, it will provide you with opportunities to expand your knowledge in all areas of IT.
· Salary: Grade 12 Point 12-19 (£24,496 FTE – £27,852 FTE)
· Hours: 37 hours a week, all year round
· Contract: Full time, permanent
· Start Date: ASAP
· Closing date: 10am on Monday 8th May 2023

About Pyrland School
Pyrland School (formerly The Taunton Academy) is a secondary school (11 – 16), located on the outskirts of Taunton with approximately 830 students on roll. We are rapidly growing in terms of pupil numbers and this is forecast to continue over the coming years until we reach capacity (1200). We are the first academy to have joined the Richard Huish Trust, with exceptionally close links to the Richard Huish College – an outstanding sixth form college at the heart of the Taunton community.
