Job overview
Varied IT technical support role with scope for career development. Full time - 36 hours per week
If you enjoy solving problems in a calm, methodical way and engage easily with a variety of people, then you would be welcomed as part of our dedicated, central IT support team, who work in schools in Wallington and South Croydon. Education provides an exciting, innovative, changing workplace and this new role is emerging with the natural expansion of this successful 4-school multi-academy (MAT) trust in South London.
What is important is a knowledgeable, keen interest in IT and a friendly, professional manner as you will be the first point of contact for many staff and students facing software and hardware issues. It is a varied role where you will be required to visit different schools on a daily basis. Folio has a good reputation for career development and internal succession planning, so we offer training in any necessary aspects of IT and associated technologies to build upon your existing experience, preferably gained in an education or IT environment.
The MAT comprises an established, outstanding boys’ grammar with mixed sixth form, a primary school, a junior school and a brand new secondary phase, comprehensive free school, Coombe Wood School: the last opened in 2018 and for which the building of a state-of-the-art £35M building project is scheduled for completion in late 2020.
This role will be mainly based at either Coombe Wood or Wallington County Grammar School but ability to move swiftly between all schools is required.
