Job overview

We require as soon as possible an enthusiastic IT Technician to join our IT Support team to help maintain and support the school network and services.

Applications are welcome from both experienced and less experienced technicians.

The successful  candidate will be supported fully in their career and professional development. 

Urmston Grammar is a high-performing co-educational 11 - 18 selective school, judged OUTSTANDING in our last OFSTED inspection. We are a specialist Science and Languages College and gained academy status in September 2010. 

Scale – NJC Scale 4 (points 20-22) £19,819 to £21,074.

Full time contract

The post will be permanent following a 6-month temporary probationary period.

Urmston Grammar is a selective, co-educational, secondary school for children aged 11-18. It is situated in Urmston, Manchester, and there are currently 1125 students on its roll. The governors and the leadership team pride themselves on running a highly successful grammar school and it has an excellent local and national reputation. It features in The Times’ Top 500 Schools and its position there means it is regularly in the top 5% of schools nationally.
