Job overview

Due to the expansion of the Acorn Education Trust we would like to recruit three IT Technicians to join our dynamic and friendly team as soon as possible. We are looking for one new technician for each of our sites: Warminster, Trowbridge and Durrington. Reporting to the Trust’s IT Manager, the post holder will support the IT infrastructure across schools within the Trust by providing technical support to students and staff.

Working Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year (usually 8:00am - 4:00pm, Monday - Friday)

The successful candidate will:

  • Have an outstanding all round knowledge of IT hardware and software; an appropriate IT qualification is desirable;
  • Proven leadership skills would be advantageous;
  • Hold a full driving license;
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate with staff and students with varying IT expertise; previous experience of carrying out a similar client facing role would be an advantage.
  • Be self-motivated, dedicated, consistent and have a confident personality
  • Be a really strong team player
  • Be interested in developing a career within a growing multi academy trust
