John Leggott College are developing a Supported Internship Programme to support young people with additional needs to gain the skills necessary to secure employment.
This role will play a key part in the programme, leading on skills training, securing work placements and providing individual support to students and employers within the work place.
Working closely with the Foundation Learning team, you will develop the Supported Internship Programme as a positive progression route from Foundation Learning, ensuring that the Foundation Learners have access to a range of work experience placements to prepare them for a Supported Internship Programme.
You will deliver a programme of activities to a group of students to prepare them for employment and develop their wider employability skills. When ready, you will source a suitable work placement for each student, and support them to be successful in the placement, with the hope that there will be a paid employment opportunity for them at the end of the programme.
