POST TITLE: Job Coach LLDD
POST REFERENCE: JOBCOACH-01
SALARY: Scale 5, A22-A25 - £24,051-£26,099 per annum, pro rata
HOURS: Post 1: 19 hrs a week, 40 weeks per annum
Post 2: 36 hrs a week, 40 weeks per annum
LOCATION: Post holder will be required to work from all campuses and external event locations

We are seeking two Job Coaches to coordinate and support our innovative work experience and employment training programmes. Your main duties will be to liaise with employers to facilitate work experience at the employer's place of work, work rotations and employment opportunities for students with Learning Disabilities and / or disabilities including mental health. You will be expected to arrange and source placements, monitor records and assess students prior to and during placement including risk assessment (including writing individual vocational plans).
Essential skills must include:
Experience of working with adults with a wide range of learning difficulties and disabilities
Delivery of training and support to LLDD students in work based settings
Excellent communication and team working skills with a ‘can do’ attitude
A good knowledge of SEND, safeguarding and health & safety policies
You will be educated to GCSE A-C standard or equivalent and should be able to support a range of literacy and numeracy skills.
The post holder will have an ability to respond sensitively and appropriately to student needs, reliability, flexibility, organisational skills, interpersonal skills, good IT skills and an ability to work within College Safeguarding and Equalities policies are all essential.
