Vision for Education, (the supply arm of TES and leading educational recruitment specialists) are currently working on behalf of a “Good” (Ofsted 2016) Primary School in Newcastle, who are looking to recruit a lower Key Stage 2 (Year 3/4) teacher, to work as part of a job share.

The role is due to commence in September and will last for the entirety of the academic year. As part of the job share the successful candidate will be expected to work 2-3 days per week (2 days one week, 3 the next). There may be an additional half day added in occasionally to allow collaboration to be made with the other job share teacher.

The successful applicant needs to have strong behaviour management and organisational skills, as well as being an excellent communicator. The role may be suited to a teacher who has previous experience of working within a job share role and has knowledge of how to manage a job share situ effectively.

Person Specification

· Must have QTS and superb knowledge, understanding and recent experience within lower Key Stage 2

· Creative and dynamic practitioner, with high expectations and very comfortable differentiating for a broad ability range

· Proven track record for raising attainment and achieving progression

· Prepared to take on the full teaching role; including all marking, assessment, staff briefings, CPD/INSET etc

· Able to collaborate and work well in a team

· Comfortable liaising with parents

· Innovative approach and easily adapts
