Repton Dubai is seeking Junior School Library Assistant to start January 2024.
We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and forward-thinking library assistant to support in the junior school library. The position requires a passion for literature and learning as well as a calm and personable manner as it will involve working with children from year 3-11. The library assistant helps to manages all library resources which includes both physical and digital media. They play a full role in promoting reading across the school and they will need to engage with even reluctant readers.
This is a term time only position, and you must have your own visa.
Main Responsibilities*
- Support students and ensure awareness and access to website resources
- Liaise with teachers ensuring correct up-to-date books/textbooks are shelved in the library
- Budget and associated administration responsibility
- Awareness of Library Ethics, the rights of intellectual property and support students regarding the consequences of plagiarism
- Responsible for adding and deleting books and barcodes as appropriate
- Issuance of ID cards
