Tes is supporting the appointment of a Junior School SENDCo to join a High School based in Camden.
The role
This High School has an excellent opportunity for an experienced and inclusive teacher to develop their leadership experience as Junior School SENDCo.
As SENDCo, you will lead and manage the provision for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in the Junior School, ensuring the highest standards of support and inclusion in their learning needs provision.
Working closely with the leadership team, teachers, teaching assistants, parents, and external agencies, you will support the progress and well-being of girls with learning needs, providing them with the assistance they need to thrive.
You will also provide support to teaching staff, helping to raise their awareness and understanding of student needs and inclusive approaches to teaching and learning.
This is a part time role for either 3 or 4 days per week. Your salary will be pro-rated to either £28,547 – £31,519 pa (3 days) or £38,063 - £42,026 pa (4 days).
About you
The school is looking for a personable and collaborative individual, with excellent organisational, communication and teamwork skills. You will need extensive knowledge of current SEND practices, policies, and interventions, along with experience of supporting pupils with SEND in a primary or junior school setting. Relevant qualifications in Special Educational Needs (e.g., NASENCO) or equivalent experience, will also be essential.
