St John's College, leading independent school for girls and boys aged 3 to 18, is the Choir School to Cardiff Metropolitan Cathedral and seeks to appoint an enthusiastic Junior School teacher with specialism in Mathematics and Science.
Our Junior School currently comprises of 17 teaching staff and is a thriving community where pupils are nurtured both academically and pastorally.
The successful candidate will be an expert in Science and Mathematics, up to and including early KS3.

St John’s College, Cardiff, is an independent, co-educational day school for children aged 3-18. It is the choir school to Cardiff’s Metropolitan Cathedral and is a Catholic school with 466 pupils on its roll. It is situated in Old St Mellons, three miles outside of central Cardiff. Admission is normally granted subject to mutual compatibility.
St John’s College provides the girls and boys choristers for weekly services, two annual concerts at Cardiff’s St David’s Hall and concert tours across continental Europe. The Archbishop of Cardiff is its patron, while the Dean of the Metropolitan Cathedral and the Parish Priest are regular visitors. There is a formal link with the Cathedral Choral Foundation in the provision of choristers and music staff for the Cathedral Choir.
The school is split into four sections: nursery and infant, junior school, senior school and sixth form.
