Job Title: Junior Security Operations Analyst

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 9am to 5.30pm         

Location: Bolton

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum

We are looking for a Junior Security Operations Analyst to join our IT team. 

As our Junior Security Operations Analyst, you will support the management of Security Operations, Security Incidents and Infrastructure Security for Outcomes First Group. 

You will use the latest threat intelligence to inform daily activities and proactive threat hunts to detect and respond to threat actors. 

You will work alongside our Security Operations and Infrastructure Engineers with the aim of maintaining & improving the overall Cyber Security posture for Outcomes First Group.

To be successful in this role you will need experience in the following:

Technical skills:

Essential:

•    Azure AD Identity & Access Management (SSO, Conditional Access, AIP)

•    Working with and using the O365 Security Portal.

•    Microsoft Defender 

•    Firewall (ideally Fortinet)

•    Microsoft InTune Endpoint Manager

•    Windows Server – 2012 – 2019

•    Networking (ideally Unifi Switches and Access Points)

Preferred:

•    Bitdefender

•    Microsoft Hyper-V

•    AWS Stack

•    Programming or scripting skills

•    Jamf MDM

•    SD-WAN Knowledge

•    IT Security Certifications or memberships ie. ICS2 or Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Associate or Microsoft Security Operations Analyst Associate

Experience:

•    1-2 years of experience of working in a Security Role within a Corporate or Education environment.

•    Understanding of security fundamentals, including network security, endpoint security and threat intelligence

•    Familiarity with common security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems and SIEM Tools.

•    Good understanding & experience of cyber security principles & best practices and experience of implementing them at a business wide level.

•    Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Security Portal.

•    Ability to prioritize workloads.

•    Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

•    Good Interpersonal and communication skills, capable of communicating effectively with colleagues from all areas of the organization.

•    Perform all activities in keeping with established Change Enablement and approval procedures.

•    Strong attention to detail and the ability to take ownership of tasks and issues.

•    Knowledge of working in an ITIL Framework

•    Knowledge of Security Frameworks such as Cyber Essentials and NIST
