Kernow Learning is a dynamic academy trust consisting of 20 primary academies in Cornwall. The Trust is recognised as a DfE sponsor.

Sky Primary and Eden Project Nursery is a brand new primary school and nursery that will be built in the heart of the new Garden Village at West Carclaze on the outskirts of St Austell.    It is an exciting ‘once in a life-time’ opportunity to lead and shape the vision of Learning Beyond the Classroom in this new community.    Sustainability is very much at the heart of the community and your interaction with this new community and prospective parents will be an integral part of this role.    This headship role will involve a teaching commitment in the first few years of opening.   We are looking for a talented leader who can stimulate every child’s desire to learn and enable them to achieve their potential.

We are seeking a leader with previous experience in primary school leadership and school improvement. The candidate will have knowledge and practical experience of such areas as: learning beyond the classroom,  performance management, assessment and data analysis, monitoring of teaching and learning through lesson observations, work scrutiny, pupil conferencing and leading staff training.

The salary will be subject to negotiation within the Group 2 range appropriate to the post holder’s experience and skills.

We can offer:

  • A competitive salary
  • The opportunity for training alongside inspirational staff– a chance to work with and learn from the best
