About the role:
A small school in the Ripley area are looking for an intervention teacher to help out in their year 2 forms. With the upcoming SATs tests for their year they are looking to get the classes up to a high standard ahead of those exams.
The role of the intervention teacher as stated by the school is “to provide both individual and small group-based support to pupils who are performing below the class average, with the aim to bring their abilities in line with the rest of the year group”. The role will be on a part time basis (0.4), the days changing between 2 full days or 1 full day and 2 afternoons each week.
The school have high expectations when it comes to their teaching staff, there will be both a telephone interview and a trial day in order to find their ideal colleague. The teacher will be expected to have experience in a similar intervention role, or to have been a year 2 SATs teacher in the past, experience working with less able pupils is a must.

To register with us, all candidates will be required to attend a face to face interview, hold an enhanced DBS check in Child Workforce on the Update Service and also gain references to cover the last 2 years. Please note that all teachers must hold valid QTS. For any Teaching Assistant roles you must hold an NVQ Level 2 or above, a relevant educational degree or a minimum of 3 months relevant experience within a UK school in the last 5 years.
