A creative, experienced teacher with excellent Phonics knowledge is wanted for a full-time permanent Key Stage 1 teacher position from 1 January 2019 working with our Year 1 pupils.

Our very effective and supportive Governing body are seeking to appoint an inspiring, enthusiastic, conscientious and committed professional who believes all children can achieve high standards and demonstrates consistently high expectations of all pupils in all aspects of school life. We are dedicated to providing our children with an exciting and stimulating learning environment, and wish to appoint a professional who shares this vision and is able to sustain the excellent progress already achieved by our school. You must therefore be a good/outstanding classroom practitioner with the ability to create a supportive and challenging learning environment, using a variety of imaginative teaching strategies and resources including technology and be able to adapt to new ideas and ways of working. Please see the person specification for the full requirements of the post.

Anthony Bek is a very warm and welcoming school and we are proud of the aspects that make our school unique. We are a one-form entry school judged ‘Good’ by Ofsted in every area in April 2017. End of KS outcomes for attainment and progress were above National Averages in all subjects in 2018 and previous years. Pupils of Anthony Bek take pride in their work and demonstrate very effective learning behaviours. Our staff team work closely together, sharing ideas and resources and are a family both in and out of school. We can offer you a variety of career development opportunities matched to your desires, needs and experience.  Visits to the school and school website (www.anthonybek.derbyshire.sch.uk) are recommended and warmly welcomed.

If you require any further information or would like to arrange a visit, please contact the school office on 01623 810355 (during school hours) and ask to speak to Mrs Donna-Marie Johnson-Headteacher or contact via e-mail (headteacher@anthonybek.derbyshire.sch.uk).
Interviews will take place on Friday 26 October 2018. Candidates will be informed if they are being invited to interview on the evening of Monday 22 October 2018.

Closing Date: 21 October 2018

All teachers please state your curriculum specialisms, subject leadership experience if relevant, and subject interests when applying.

Due to this post having access to children and/or vulnerable adults, the successful candidate will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post, as all cases are judged individually according to the nature of the role and information provided.
