Job overview

Queen’s Gate is a happy, bustling GSA day school for girls aged 4 –18 and is ideally situated in Central London to take advantage of the many educational opportunities on offer. Our Junior School is a thriving community of around 100 pupils, where each girl is known for her own individual gifts and talents, and nurtured to achieve beyond her potential.

We wish to appoint from September 2024 a well-qualified teacher able to take on responsibility for a Key Stage 1 class, following the retirement of one of our valued colleagues. The successful candidate will be able to enthuse and excite our pupils, while demonstrating a genuine commitment to providing a stimulating, supporting and fun-filled learning atmosphere. Candidates should have a readiness to support our extensive co-curricular programme. While this is expected to be a full-time post, Queen’s Gate is committed to inclusive employment, and would welcome applications from those seeking part-time employment. This role is open both to experienced teachers and those early on in their career, including those currently completing teacher training.

As a School we are heavily committed to providing a workplace where staff can develop their skills and advance their career. The successful candidate will have the chance to contribute to School development, and to benefit from CPD opportunities.

All those working at Queen’s Gate share in our responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of the children and young people in our care. This will include completing regular training and maintaining a good awareness of key policies and procedures relating to our safeguarding duties. Where a role has specific or additional responsibilities in relation to safeguarding, this will be detailed within the job description.
