Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant (Pre Prep)

For September 2021, Cheltenham College Prep School is looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant to join the Pre – Prep. The Teaching Assistant is responsible to the Head of Kingfishers and will assist in the provision of a variety of activities and maintaining the care and safety of pupils in Reception or Key Stage 1 depending on experience.

Kingfishers is a dynamic and busy Pre-Prep department and is very much part of the Prep School, occupying self-contained buildings at the heart of the school campus. Staffed by specialist Early Years teachers, we are looking for somebody who believes in and works to support our aim to provide a stimulating and happy environment in which children can develop intellectually and socially to reach their potential.

Candidates should have experience in EYFS/KS1 and will be qualified at Level 3 NVQ or higher.

Candidates should have good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads. Good communication skills both oral and written are essential.

College has its own pay scale and salary will depend on experience. Hours are currently full time (37.5 hours per week) for 33 weeks per year.
