Twyford School is an independent day and boarding school for boys and girls aged 2 – 13. It is one of the oldest prep schools in the country, possibly the oldest. We are proud of our heritage and the beautiful history and architecture around the School. Located on the edge of the South Downs National Park 3 miles outside of the beautiful historic city of Winchester, we embrace Christian values and teach children from the earliest ages to be gracious, considerate and respectful of others.

An inspirational, innovative, and energetic general subjects teacher is required to join us in September 2022, teaching a varied timetable of general subjects in Key Stage 2.

The successful candidate will be expected to play a part in the extra-curricular, sporting, pastoral and boarding aspects of the School. You will be expected to work Saturdays when the School is in session. The ability to contribute to the coaching of major games and/or outdoor pursuits will be an advantage.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving, supportive team and we would welcome applications from experienced teachers as well as those starting their careers. Twyford School provides excellent support for NQTs.

You will be responsible for delivering an engaging curriculum to KS2, lessons are expected to be of high quality, with focus on pupil learning and with emphasis on positive reinforcement. Ensuring that all appropriate schemes of work are in place (liaising with Head of Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 and Deputy Heads), and planning individual lessons appropriate to the needs of the pupils in the classes taught.

Family accommodation may be available for the successful candidate if required.

Further information can be found on our website, www.twyfordschool.com.
