About Lyngford Park Primary School

Why Choose Lyngford Park Primary School?

Thank you for showing an interest in our school.  I am extremely proud to be the Headteacher of Lyngford Park Primary which is a thriving primary school in Taunton, the County Town of Somerset. We are a good school and on a journey to further improve.

In January 2021, we joined The Richard Huish Trust and since then we have been working collectively with our new team of 5 Primary Schools, 1 Secondary School and the 6th From College, which are all local to us.

If you are successful in being appointed to work with us, you will be joining a highly committed group of professionals who work tirelessly to enable all our children to be the best that they can be. We make no excuses for what we can achieve.

We have a strong and highly ambitious Senior Leadership Team who are constantly driving school improvement. We meet as a team to work collaboratively as we know we all learn best when we do so actively and with others. Each team enjoys PPA time together each week and all staff are supported by their Senior Leader colleagues and strong subject leaders. We also have half-termly staff meetings, which focus on our own mental health and well-being.

We place a great emphasis on delivering a creative curriculum built around core skills and emotional well-being. We strive to achieve success for all, regardless of ability.

If you are considering joining our team, please call us and have a tour...our school must be right for you too - it is a two-way commitment, but I think you will love it!  Look forward to meeting you and maybe joining us on our exciting journey.
