Job overview

Vision for Education is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Tutor to join our successful supply teaching team and to work across friendly primary schools in County Durham. The inspirational Tutor would work part time from January 2022, delivering tuition for Year 5 and 6 students, 3 afternoons per week.  Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications and you would need to have had at least 2 years teaching experience with QTS.

The role

The desired Key Stage 2 Tutor will be working within groups of up to 3 students, with a wide range of ability levels including SEND. The tuition will be part of the School Led Tuition programme which provides catch up learning for the education gap following the Covid-19 lockdowns. This unique role would be suitable for experienced teachers who have taught KS2 recently. Days and hours can be discussed with the candidate and school to suit the needs of each party. 


Requirements

To be considered for the Key Stage 2 Tutor position, you will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). 

• Have at least 2 years’ experience teaching primary education at Key Stage 2 (KS2) level.

• Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of primary teachers.

• Have a passion for teaching with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons. 

• Any experience of supporting SEND children would be an advantage.
